What is Sufi Whispers?
Sufi Whispers is a spiritual guidance application based on Sufi traditions and Islamic mysticism. It provides contemplative reflections and wisdom drawn from the teachings of Rumi and other Sufi masters. The app uses AI to provide personalized spiritual guidance based on your questions.
How do I ask a question?
On the home page, you'll see a text field labeled "Share your heart's yearning." Simply write your question or concern with an open heart, then click "Hear the Whisper" to receive guidance. Your question should be sincere and reflective for the best experience.
What does the card reading mean?
The guidance you receive is drawn from Sufi wisdom traditions and interpreted through spiritual reflection. Each reading provides insights meant to inspire contemplation and personal growth. The readings are suggestions for reflection, not prescriptions or predictions.
Can I save my readings?
Yes! Your readings are automatically saved in your browser's local storage. You can view all your past readings by clicking "past readings" in the footer. Your data stays on your device—we don't store it on our servers.
How do I delete a reading?
In your Past Readings section, each reading has a delete button. Click it to remove that reading permanently. You can also use "Clear Recent" to remove your last 5 readings, or "Clear All" to start fresh. A confirmation will appear before deletion.
Is my data private?
Yes. All your readings are stored locally on your device using your browser's storage. Sufi Whispers does not send your questions or readings to any server. Your data remains completely under your control. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What are keyboard shortcuts?
You can use keyboard shortcuts for faster navigation: Press Enter to submit your question, Esc to cancel an action, and ? to open this help page. These shortcuts work on the main page and in forms throughout the app.
Can I export my readings?
Currently, you can copy individual readings to your clipboard using the copy button on each reading. Future versions may include PDF export functionality. You can also manually save your readings by copying them to a text editor or document.
What is the Sufi tradition?
Sufism is the mystical branch of Islam, focused on direct experience of the divine through spiritual practice and inner reflection. Sufi teachers like Rumi emphasize love, compassion, and the journey toward spiritual truth. This app draws inspiration from these timeless teachings.
Why does the app use the word "Beloved"?
In Sufi poetry and tradition, "the Beloved" refers to the divine or ultimate reality. Rumi frequently used this term to describe the spiritual journey toward union with the sacred. It's a poetic and authentic way to reference the divine within the Sufi framework.
